GEOCACHING and TREE-O-CACHING at MHP McCully Heritage Project coordinates are: Longitude: 39.282473 Latitude: -90.621675 TREE-O-CACHING The McCully Heritage Project has created an innovative program to educate visitors about the trees of Illinois while using GPS. Playing on the popular hobby of geo-caching, this program creates caches that are placed at particular trees. Use your GPS unit to navigate to the tree-o-cache. When you find the cache, sign the log-book and take your prize. To date, two caches have been placed. Click the images below for more information about a particular tree species. Traditional Geocaching: Below are the names of traditional geocaches placed at the McCully Heritage Project. Geocaching.com maintains a database of the cache coordinates, and has asked that we not publish them on our site. Logs regarding the caches can also be found at geocaching.com.
