CAMPING

Described as some of the Best Tent Camping in Illinois, the McCully Heritage Project offers tent campers a quiet and peaceful experience. Primitive tent camping sites include a firepit and picnic table. Our camping facilities include a modern shower facility, with four individual shower / restroom units, two that are handicap-accessible. Hike-in camping is also an option (call or email for information).

HIKING

The McCully Heritage Project offers miles of scenic hiking trails winding through wooded hillsides, uplands, a reconstructed wetland and stream bottoms. Scenic overlooks are located along a number of these trails with views of the hollows of Calhoun County and the scenic vistas from the bluffs overlooking the Illinois River.

The property is divided by Crawford Creek Road, with 110 acres to the north and 830 acres to the south.
Trail maps are available at the kiosks in the parking area and restrooms.
Horseback riding is allowed on the South side only
